O ex-prefeito de Tianguá, Gilberto Moita, preso em Santana do Acaraú acusado de fraudar licitações, foi solto nesta terça-feira (18), beneficiado por um habeas corpus solicitado pelo advogado Francisco Edvaldo Filho. A revogação da prisão preventiva foi concedida pelo desembargador Francisco Pedrosa Teixeira. Ele ficará sujeito a recolhimento noturno domiciliar, definido das 18h às 6h.
Gilberto Moita foi detido pela Polícia Federal durante a Operação Caça Fantasma, que investiga fraudes em processos licitatórios no município de Santana do Acaraú. No momento da abordagem, o ex-prefeito estava acompanhado do seu advogado e não ofereceu resistência ao cumprimento do mandado de prisão.
Além do ex-prefeito, os filhos Gilberto Moita Filho e Vitor Castro Moita também foram acusados de participação no esquema fraudulento. O Ministério Público Estadual investiga crimes de formação de quadrilha, emprego irregular de verbas públicas e fraudes em licitações.
